Weddings and wedding gowns haven’t lost their novelty and it can be judged simply from the fact that every year the top fashion designers in Paris and Milan reveal their haute couture bridal collection. The Fall/Winter 2015 collection at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week was a treat to watch. From Chanel to Christian Dior, ZuhairMurad and Elie Saab – every top name in the industry had their wedding gowns on display. This year we saw a lot of silhouettes, laces, embroidery and some exquisite detailing. While most designers stuck to the traditional white color, there were a few experimentalists as well who brought in newer shades this season. Let’s look at the 4 takeaways from the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2015.

Chanels’ Bridal Collection

Chanel and designing brilliance have always gone hand in hand. This was once again proved in the haute couture bridal collection where they showcased their bridal tuxedos. If till now you weren’t sure how to work on a veil with a tuxedo, Chanel has the answer. Kendall Jenner who wore the bridaltuxedo had the veil affixed on the shoulders of the jacket. There was so quite a lot of spectacular jewelry in display which have been designed by Karl Lagerfeld, who debuted on the fashion week this year.

ZuhairMurad’s Bridal Collection

ZuhairMurad had his models walk the ramp in long sleeved illusion bodice that seemed to be straight out of the golden days when ball gowns were a rage. He gave a nice twist to his usual work by incorporating couture embellishments on the metallic silver-star embroidery. The grand cathedral veil went perfectly well with the ball bridal gowns.

Christian Dior’s Bridal Collection

If you want a fairy tale wedding, Christian Dior’s Raf Simons just has the bridal dress for you. The designer took inspiration from Flemish painter Hieronymus Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights” and made use of white chiffon to cut the dress. The bridal dress looked perfect for the modern-day bride who wouldn’t want something heavy yet would want to look ethereal.

Elie Saab’s Bridal Collection

Elie Saab is particularly known for his bridal inspirations. He regularly makes his models walk the ramp in ballroom-inspired gowns. The bridal collection that was on display at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week saw models wearing regal gowns that were the perfect blend of sophistication and grace. The embellished lace embroidery as detailing further made the gowns stand out.
