Spinel is a naturally occurring beautiful stone, which has suffered because of its rarity and beauty and has extensively been used as a substitute of Ruby. It is said that most of the famous rubies used as gems in crowns around the world are actually Spinels.

Ones a misunderstood gem, Spinel is now a favourite stone of collectors and gem dealers and is mined for its own sake on account of its vividness, solidity and a wide range of spectacular and vibrant colors.

Spinel is a long-lasting and durable gemstone that is considered as perfect for all jewellery purposes. It is most often faceted in round, oval or cushioned shapes, but now it is not found in standardized sizes due to its scarcity.

The beneficial qualities that Spinel possesses are:

  • Physical Healer

Spinel is considered to improve the recovery of many ailments, like problems in bones, joints, and muscles. Spinel is also beneficial in treating teeth, spine, gums, and the whole body. It heals cancer, maintains the body weight, and increases endurance and physical power.

  • Emotional Healer

Spinel is considered a savior from stress, mental tension, and depression. It helps to invigorate and rejuvenate the body time and again due to which the wearer feels fresh and active. It induces will, hope, and purpose and encourages the wearer to overcome all the obstacles. Spinel is used in the mental sphere of logical power and to help out in reducing or eliminating absent-mindedness. It helps in bringing the energy inside the body and cleansing the aura of the body. Violet Spinel is largely associated with the development of spirituality.

Red colored Spinel is associated with heart and root chakra. Root or base chakra gives the wearer the sense of stability and safety and keeps him grounded. Red stones are considered amazing for clearing and unblocking root chakra. The cleansing of the heart chakra is also equally important to allow the person to open up to the outer world. An unblocked heart chakra is great for those who are very sensitive at heart. They get depressed and sad very easily. A red colored Spinel will help them in overcoming such negativities.

A blue colored Spinel opens the third eye chakra allowing the wearer to open his mind towards welcoming novelties of life.

Yellow Spinel is linked largely with solar plexus chakra and helps the one who wears it to remain mentally focused towards accomplishing things. It is the gemstone for those with low confidence and self-esteem as it encourages a stronger conviction in one’s personal abilities.
