Blue Nile will be soon having 4 more stores by the middle of 2016 as declared by Harvey Kanter (CEO of the brand). Kanter said that the 1st standalone brick and mortar location of the company i.e Roosevelt Field Mall in New York is doing really well and that the company would be quickly move for getting 3 to 4 additional stores.

The jewelry giant, Blue Nile is all set to inaugurate 3 to 4 new stores for exhibiting its jewelry. The company opened its very first brick and mortar location in Roosevelt Field Mall in New York which is doing exceptionally well. It is a store where people can only try the jewelry but not buy it.

If everything turns out to be as planned, the jewelry company Blue Nile will be introducing 3 to 4 more web rooms by the middle of 2016. The CEO of the company declared the news in the 3rdQ earning’s call of the company.

He also told that their first most standalone brick and mortar web room located in Roosevelt Field in New York is doing great. That is why the company is panning for the introduction of 3 to 4 new stores. However the locations are yet to be decided.

The first web room of the giant which was opened in June this year offers the customers the flexibility of trying jewelry but they can’t buy it from there. Buying happens only on the website of the company. But, Kanter said that most of all the transactions are done in the web store itself. The customer picks a piece of jewelry which he or she likes and then orders it from the website of the company.

This is exactly the other extreme of what the company experienced in its stores in Nordstrom in the last 2 years. Most of the customers made their purchases after they came out of the store.
