Agreeing to the arrangers, close to 90 exposants took part in the ADTF last week in the Belgian city. Further, the arrangers claimed that the number of returning visitors has increased this year. Besides the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair was too aimed at a “cautious” market.

Approximately 90 exhibitors took part in the 7th Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair that was declared in the Belgian city. The fair was commenced on January 31 and runs for two more days, i.e., from 1st & 2nd February. Furthermore, agreeing to the organizers, it was proposed as a “cautious” market as the number of the returning visitors has increased this year. In the statement stated on February 5 by the organizers, they professed that the mood was emphatically upbeat in spite of the low anticipations going into the trade and the sluggish holiday season sale for the European jewelry retailers. The event took place in the halls of the Antwerp Diamond Bourses. According to Michel Schonfeld, spokesman of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair organizing committee the “Fairs” are habitually less about the sales as their principle focus is more on ‘maintenance’. Further, he assured that the event was good as they have repeated, loyal retail jewelers and distributors along with the new buyers to build robust and lasting business relationships, that in turn generate sales all through the year. Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) sponsored the Antwerp Diamond Night that was held at the Horta Zaal situated in the heart of Antwerp's fashion district on Saturday nighttime. The night features the revealing of the HRD Awards creations that are presented by the models.
