Greg Valerio wins MBE for his work
Greg has been awarded an MBE for his excellent work with the Fairtrade gold and also with the gold mining communities situated in Africa and South America. Greg Valerio, a founding father of the Cred jewelry, makes his place in the Queens New Years Honor list of the year 2016 with his excellent creations to win the acknowledgement.
Greg Valerio regarded as the founder of the Cred Jewelry, for his breathtaking creations and work in the Fairtrade Gold got the MBE. Greg, who was listed in the Queens New Years Honor list 2016 was also appreciated (awarded) for his work with the gold mining communities located in the South America and Africa. Valerio in the year 1996 founded, Cred Jewelry to establish and initiate the accountable mining practices in the world of the jewelry industry. In the year 2003, Cred jewelry, an establishment of the Valerio too, took a first step to start the first apparent gold and platinum supply chain from Oro Verde, a place in Columbia. Moreover, became the first jewelry corporation to pay social premiums for the ecological gold. In 2010, the Cred Jewelry was sold to Alan Frampton, permitting Valerio to focus on crusading for fairness, impartiality and transparency within the jewelry industry. Valerio expresses his thankfulness by stating that achieving an MBE for fair-trade was amazing and he hopes that it moves the idea of Fairtrade in the entire UK jewelry profession. He too added that this award is for all that helped him in his noble mission, to get rid of child labor, use of mercury and human rights abuse that exists within the jewelry industry.
