As per JA (Jewelers of America) statement, JAPAC (Jewelers of America Political Action Committee) has raised an amount of $26,680 in the closed year 2015 to shore up its advocacy efforts in Washington DC. Jenny Caro, CEO as well as co-owner of Jewelry By Designs situated in Woodbridge, Virginia says that JAPAC provides jewelry industry a platform to raise their collective voice on topics that are problematic for their line of work and industry. Further, the accumulated funds are reflected as a significant instrument that assists in making JAPAC strong for the 2016 elections. Moreover, president and CEO of JA, David Bonaparte has put emphasis on the importance of the jewelers’ voices that needs to be heard on Capitol Hill. At the meeting that was held in July 2015, board members of JA have raised around $16,450, answering to a fundraising urging that ensued in the biggest “single-day” of fundraising in the history of JAPAC. He too stated that their team effort of JA to support JAPAC or say give it a critical boost is highly appreciable.
